My first backpacking trip ever was to Garnet Lake, and after cresting the River Trail cutoff, my breath was taken away and my love for backpacking was sealed as I saw Banner Peak and Mount Ritter so peacefully watching over the lake. I only had an instamatic with me on that trip, but the photo I took was my favorite for a long time.
